Transforming inventory movement into actionable intelligence across mining, oil & gas, and asset-intensive operations
While working in the arctic, we observed something: operators spent three days searching through sea cans to locate a single maintenance part, a delay that highlighted a much larger operational problem.
After more than a decade in the mining industry, our founder experienced the challenges of inventory management firsthand. At the time, the industry's mindset was simple: if a part couldn't be found, order another one. Keeping equipment running took priority, while duplicate purchases, excess inventory, and hours spent searching became accepted as part of the job.
As we looked deeper into how inventory moved through warehouses, ERP systems, and field operations, one thing became clear: organizations could record inventory transactions, but they still struggled to locate inventory quickly or understand its status once it left storage.
Our goal was to make inventory as easy to find as any destination on a map, providing instant visibility into where inventory is, where it has been, and what is happening to it in real time. Today, Scatterlink helps mining and equipment-intensive organizations transform inventory complexity into operational clarity, enabling teams to locate, track, and manage inventory with confidence from receipt to consumption.
